Someone posted a sweet deal on Fat Wallet this morning for extra-virgin coconut oil. Right now, you can get 20% off of any product from Nutiva’s website, which offers free shipping for all items over $30. Given that they are already having a sale on their coconut oil, you can use the promotional code “FAN” to get an entire gallon of the oil for only $31.99 tyd!
The original poster did a good job of explaining how to use the code, so I won’t rehash it here. Just follow the link back to Fat Wallet and follow his instructions.

I just received an email from CallingMart with a promotional code for 7% off Page Plus refill cards. If you need to put more money on your account, now is a good time to save a few bucks. With this code, the $80 card will only cost you $74.40. This offer is good till 8/24/2009, so don’t hesitate!

Today, Page Plus Cellular unveiled a new unlimited plan on the Verizon network. For $39.95 per month you get unlimited talking, unlimited texting, and 20 mb of data!
This summer has seen a major price war waged amongst the various cell providers. This new Page Plus Unlimited Talk n Text Plan has been by far the best deal in unlimited wireless to have emerged from the battle!
Being prepaid, this plan has many advantages over traditional plans, including no taxes/surcharges and no contracts to sign. If you are paying over $40 per month for cell service and need an unlimited plan, I highly recommend you look into this deal. I use Page Plus myself and can vouch for their service.
Anyway, I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: prepaid cell service will save you money! This weekend I’m working on a post about the various options in prepaid and how to choose the right one. Stay tuned!

I just received another code for a free Redbox rental that I thought I’d pass along: 27HZ4KT.
It expires tonight at midnight CST, so use it soon!

Tanga is offering a yearly subscription to Muscle & Fitness Magazine for only $1.97/year! All you have to do is use the code “6d38″ at checkout to lock in this rate.
Now, I normally don’t advocate subscribing to magazines. In fact, I recommend reading all that you can for free at your local library. However, if you read this or other fitness magazines, $1.97/year is not much and will save you a lot of trip back and forth.
Anyway, I just thought I’d pass this smoking deal on! Have a great day!

I have noticed that both Target and Wal-Mart are currently selling a “Colgate Value-Pack.” For $4.99, you get three tubes of Colgate Cavity Protection toothpaste.
This is one smoking deal, so stock up if you feel the urge! I believe toothpaste lasts a few years, but I’m not positive?
And yes, I do realize that this breaks my previously discussed $1-per-tube rule. However, with this deal, you actually get three 8.2 ounce tubes, which equals just a little over four of the 6 ounce tubes of my usual brands. Thus, I would be only slightly breaking it:)

Unfortunately, I’m a little late in passing this information on, but some of you may still find it useful.
As you know, the country just underwent a transition from analog to digital television signals. This means those without cable or a digital converter box will no longer have a signal. Fortunately for us cheapskates, this means it’s a great opportunity to upgrade our current sets for free!
Now don’t get too excited yet, because I’m not guaranteeing that we’ll all get one. What I am suggesting is that now is the time to check craigslist and your local papers for people giving away televisions. You see, many of those who are not as financially savvy as us have just been getting rid of their old analog sets, instead of hassling with a converter box. I have seen a few free ones myself in the last few weeks, but have always been a second too late in claiming them. Often times too, I have seen them with a converter box included for some reason?
Anyway, if interested, I’d start looking now. They will just keep getting fewer and farther between with each passing day since the transition. Happy hunting!
