In the middle would be a communal kitchen, bath, etc. Therefore, each person(s) would be responsible for their own space and could share communal space, maybe having a canning kitchen in the common space for putting up food in seaon. In an ideal situation, all would look out for each other and in unity there is strength. This concept is idealistic, but is workable in the right setting.
