Unlimited Page Plus Plan Announced!
Hot Deals!!! August 7th, 2009
Today, Page Plus Cellular unveiled a new unlimited plan on the Verizon network. For $39.95 per month you get unlimited talking, unlimited texting, and 20 mb of data!
This summer has seen a major price war waged amongst the various cell providers. This new Page Plus Unlimited Talk n Text Plan has been by far the best deal in unlimited wireless to have emerged from the battle!
Being prepaid, this plan has many advantages over traditional plans, including no taxes/surcharges and no contracts to sign. If you are paying over $40 per month for cell service and need an unlimited plan, I highly recommend you look into this deal. I use Page Plus myself and can vouch for their service.
Anyway, I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: prepaid cell service will save you money! This weekend I’m working on a post about the various options in prepaid and how to choose the right one. Stay tuned!

I forgot to mention you can purchase refills for less than retail through 3rd-party distributors or on eBay combined with Bing.com cashback. This should get the price of the plan down to around $35-$38/month.

so does this mean that this is a fully functional cell phone that also texts?

It is actually cell service, not a cell phone. You can use any Verizon phone and activate this plan with Page Plus. You can likewise purchase a phone directly from Page Plus and have them activate it for you. They have good coverage in the Little Rock area, but I hear the rest of the state is hit or miss.

I am thinking Tracfone will work for us.

Tracfone would be a great option if you use less than 200 minutes/month, text very little, and are vigilant in searching for free minute codes.
